HWY Partners began in 1927 with a simple belief: build strong relationships, do business the right way and work hard to help others succeed.
Nearly a century later, the industry looks very different. So do we.
We’ve grown, evolved and expanded our capabilities to meet the changing needs of brands and retailers while staying true to the principles that have guided HWY from the beginning.
A lot can change in 100 years. The things that matter don’t have to.
For generations, HWY has grown alongside the industry we serve.
We’ve watched new retailers emerge, channels evolve, consumer habits shift and technology transform how business gets done. Through every change, we’ve continued to adapt, invest and find new ways to create value for our clients and customers.
What began as a regional sales organization has evolved into a modern brokerage partner bringing together relationships, sales expertise, category management, analytics and retail execution.
The business keeps moving. So do we.

The way we do business has evolved considerably since 1927.
The principles behind it haven’t.
Our founders believed in honesty, caring about the well-being of others and taking on big challenges together. Those ideas continue to shape how HWY works today.
Do the right thing. Every day.
Do the right thing. Every day.
Big challenge? Let’s go.
Nearly 100 years later, they’re more than part of our history.
They’re part of how we move forward.
HWY’s history has been preserved in the words of the late Jerold “Jerry” Young, an industry pioneer who experienced much of its evolution firsthand.
In Forever Young, Jerry chronicles the confectionery business through stories of HWY, its people and iconic brands including Tootsie Roll, Reese’s, Charleston Chew, PEZ, Altoids, Ferrara and more.
The book follows an industry transformed from horse-and-buggy deliveries to modern data and analytics, while capturing something that hasn’t changed nearly as much: the importance of relationships, integrity and doing business the right way.
